Choosing a second citizenship or residency around your objective
There is no "best passport" for everyone — only the best passport for your objectives. Before looking at any programme, define what you are optimising for:
1. If the priority is mobility
Objective: more visa-free destinations and easier business or leisure travel. Look at passport strength and the gain over your current passport. Caribbean CBI or some European countries deliver results quickly.
2. If the priority is tax
Objective: lawfully optimising the tax burden. Look at Tax Freedom and distinguish residence-based from citizenship-based taxation. Note any exit tax in the home country.
3. If the priority is safety & stability
Objective: a "Plan B" if conditions deteriorate. Look at Global Safety and the institutional stability of the destination.
4. If the priority is family
Objective: education, healthcare and the children's future. Look at Education, Healthcare và family relocation score.
Most global planners balance several objectives at once — that is where a composite score helps narrow the options before going deeper.
